Bike Ride

I was away for the last few weeks of August and the first week of September, then back to work.  The short story is I haven’t had have time to post for a while.  The long story is the posts should be relatively regular for the next while.

First, I forgot about a ride my nephew and I did around Stanley Park last June.  We’ve been doing this ride annually since he came up to my waist…now I come up to his!  Savor!

Victoria Visit

While in Victoria my main purpose was to visit an old coach, mentor and friend, Mr. V.  We had a great time which included a walk to Beacon Hill Park.  Savor!

Royal BC Museum

While visiting an old friend in Victoria this past June, a trip to the Royal BC Museum was in order.  I hadn’t been there since elementary school. Savor!

A Moody Juan de Fuca Strait

As mentioned last post, the weather during my stay was actually quite spectacular, however there was the odd foggy period.  Savor!

If you’re having trouble sleeping, a video of my time at the Juan de Fuca Strait can be watched here…happy snoozing!  https://youtu.be/-uiwFeDh-gY

The Juan de Fuca Strait

Went to southwest Vancouver Island for a little camping trip back in June.  Great weather my entire stay except for the occasional sea fog. Savor!

Exploring the Cariboo – Ranch Land

There is some amazing wide open places and spaces in the Cariboo.  Plenty of room for ranching.  Savor!

A terribly tedious video can be seen at the following link: https://youtu.be/tnpORB1xiuc

Exploring the Cariboo – The Marble Range

The dazzling Marble Range towers over the countryside in the Southwest Cariboo.  The stretch between Kelly and Big Bar Lakes provides some glorious views.  I even managed to do a little hiking.  Must get back there.  Savor!

Exploring the Cariboo – The Fraser

The Fraser River runs through the Cariboo destined for Vancouver and the Georgia Strait. The climate turns dry, hot and dusty. Very cool for someone who hails in the Wet Coast. Savor!

Exploring the Cariboo

I was away most of June and more recently back to work. As such I’ve had little time for this journal. The good news is I have plenty of photos to present. The bad news is I have plenty of photos to present. So, over the next while be prepared for an onslaught of mediocre pictures! First up a beautiful place I keep coming back to year after year, Big Bar Lake. Savor!

De Pencier Bluffs

Up on the De Pencier Bluffs over two weekends. Quite the incongruity in weather. Savor!
